Pins and Other Pointy Sharp Things

I’ve had an email from our local council about the disposal of sewing pins and needles that I wondered about here.  It’s a very simple answer – secure them in a container so that people don’t get hurt.

As mentioned before the common consensus seems to be to use old film cannisters or sweet containers that can be taped closed.  Some use tooth pick holders that only have a small hole for you to post the pin or needle through.

I think I’ll probably glue the lid in place put a small hole in the lid so that it can’t be opened.  Plus it’s just a small bit of tape to seal it when it goes in the bin.  I just need to find a suitable container now…
