It’s turning into a tradition for me to do a giveaway on my Birthday, and I’m glad that I’m doing the same again this year as I really enjoy them! As today is the day I celebrate being another year older, I’ve got a present for you…
I’ve put together a little package for sewing knits: With two really popular knit patterns in the blogosphere (Sewaholic’s Renfrew Top pattern and Cake’s Tiramisu dress pattern) as well as all the knit inspiration that’s been circulating in the blogosphere lately (knickers, vest tops…) , I hope this will be useful and inspirational all at once!
I’ve got a copy of Sew-U Home Stretch, The built by Wendy guide to sewing knits which includes tips on using a serger or a regular machine to make tops, dresses and skirts from the included patterns in the book. There’s also loads of pattern variations so the possibilities are enormous! There are some gorgeous and inspiring items out there made from this book, I am looking forward to having a go at making my own hooded top… Perfect lounge wear for the winter (once the curtains etc are done of course!)
To go with it I’ve got a 40yd pack of 1/4″ Steam a Seam 2 Lite. Steph (Author of 3 Hours Past and Cake patterns designer and owner) did a great post on the use and abuse of this stuff. Very useful for knits, but also useful for wovens, patch pockets, zipper insertions… Looking at it, you may even be able to use it at 1/2″ width too (but then there’d only be 20yds) but don’t quote me on that!
So, if you’d like to have a chance at winning this bundle, please leave a comment! If you’re a follower, please leave a second comment letting me know (and how you follow – wordpress, email, twitter…) and I’ll put another entry into the hat for you.
Entries are open until midnight on the 30th November and I’ll announce (and contact) the winner on the 1st December.
I’m happy to post internationally. Good Luck!
